Prashant Kanojia (प्रशांत कनौजिया) (b. 25 November 1992) is an Indian journalist. He is the founding editor and author of the news portal ''The Akhbar News''.〔http://theakhbaar.news/author/prashant/〕 He is based in Mumbai, and writes mainly on Dalit and tribal matters through his blog.〔http://prashantkanojiajourno.blogspot.in/2015/10/blog-post.html〕 TheAkhbaar.news portal was the first Indian Hindi language website in the .News top-level domain. He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Mumbai University. He pursued his postgraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi. His father Jagdish Kanojia is a financial consultant with Life Insurance Corporation of India and his mother Nagina is a housewife. His older brother Ashwin is a manager at Cipla in Mumbai.
